Premises Liability
Over the years, KK&B attorneys have handled many cases for clients who were seriously injured on the premises of others. These injuries are caused from lack of security, poor maintenance, fires, ice or other defects that render property unsafe.
One jury verdict for more than $10 million against the telephone company stood as a record jury verdict in Connecticut for many years. In that case, our client was a young man who was paralyzed when he fell into a stairwell while making a phone call. The phone had been placed in a dangerous location without adequate guardrails. In another premises case, our client was injured in a factory when he was struck by a defective piece of machinery. He was awarded a jury verdict of more than $5 million in the Superior Court in Milford, Connecticut.
